In 2018, according to the World Tourism Organization, the number of international tourist visits amounted to 1.4 billion, which is the highest among the figures recorded so far. For the seventh year in a row there has been an increase in tourism exports (+ 4%). In 2019, this number exceeded the growth of trade exports (+ 3%). Given this growth rate, it is estimated that by 2030 the number of visits worldwide will reach 1.8 billion.
